Good reloading, Ok range and jamming,
The Nerf Quick 16 has (obviously) 16 darts and can reload quick. Some of the cool features about this gun is the “slam fire” handle that allows you to hold the trigger and keep cocking back and forth to shoot. You can reload by pumping back, forward, and then pressing the trigger OR you can hold the trigger and pump back and forth. The slam fire mode is fast but the darts tend to shorter. There is a jamming problem. While not as bad as the recon’s problem, you still can occasionally shred a dart or two. As long as you reload right, you will be fine. The magazine is big, too. For all of you who gave this gun 2 stars because of jamming, look at the price of replacements. I can get 20 (over a magazine worth) for about 5 dollars. Because of the jamming problem, I wouldn’t give the gun to your 6 year-old brother.
Pros-reload, magazine, shot speed
Cons- Jamming, range
OVERALL: GOOD SHORT RANGE, FAST FIRING GUN WITH GOOD PRICE

|it eats nerfs,
We got this gun for my son’s birthday. We loaded the gun with the nerfs that come in the package with the gun and the second time he used it, the gun jammed. When we finally got the gun open, two of the darts had actually gotten caught in the gun and torn in half so it was almost impossible to get them out. When we finally cleared the gun and reloaded it, the same thing happened. Don’t buy this gun.

|I am losing the Nerf battles with this gun
My kids have a few non-nerf brand guns that we would use to have battles around the house. I decided to give the Quick 16 a go for “daddies” weapon since it holds more darts. Well I was very disappointed. It is very inconsistent with its firing and very short range compared to the other non-nerf brand guns we have. Standing in one spot and unloading the entire 16 darts, about 10 went ~20 feet, 2 darts 10-15 feet and 4 darts went less than 10 feet. The inconsistency is what really makes this gun no fun. You can’t have good aim if the darts are not consistent. I never aim at the head, so 50% of the darts come up short or barely reach the kids feet when they are like 15 feet away from me. The gun jams a bit also, but I guess that is what you get when you have an auto feed.
Pros – looks good, holds 16 darts, easy to load
Cons – Overall short range, inconsistent range, gun jams
